I can really see the progress that you did during class which is great, and since I saw your "creativity work", expressing value in color seems to be a great way for you to work. It might be a challenge since you are used to using color as decoration, and now you have to use color in a less traditional way, by deciding what color is dark and what color is the light! It's difficult, I did it for my homework last week, but the result can be really powerful. Great job on the top one, the only thing I could say from what we have learned in class is try to stop thinking of the contours and focus more on the shapes! GOOD JOB!
I love that second "drippy" figure, it feels to be dissolving, hardly held together....life can be like this at times. Don't stay too long. This feeling is enhanced by something Claudine mentions..you stopped using the contour and fell into the form of the WHOLE. WOW!
