Leslie's Still Life

This still life was a challenge for me because I was dealing with a difficult perspective as well as reflection in the glass table.

  1. Hi Leslie,
I think this one needs a little more work. The distance between the plate and the glass is to big and the empty space in the middle isnt the same. I would look at the empty spaces as shapes, and try to think of that when you are drawing the relationships.

  2. Leslie,
    1. same issue in master: you have to see the objects as ROUND....LOOK HOW FANTASTIC that croissant is!! Because you can see the lines that create the FORM! SO, cut slices into the banana, create LINES of FORM to follow.

    2. Look at that beautiful shape between the objects, like a DAGGER, find it in the drawing!

    3. you need to spend more time looking, carefully studying this object..the fabric is beautiful, shapes, patterns, but in the drawing they are scribbles. DON"T put them in if you don't want to draw them..but if you do...do them well- that is what is in you!!! Doing it well.
